Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in refrigerated environments (0°F to 40°F)
- Load/unload refrigerated trucks and organize inventory in cold storage units
- Maintain strict temperature monitoring and documentation protocols
- Sanitize equipment and facilities following HACCP standards
- Perform quality checks on perishable goods
- Operate temperature-controlled storage systems and conveyors
- Adhere to OSHA and FDA compliance guidelines
Qualifications
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures (thermal gear provided)
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain training
- Basic math skills for inventory management
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Strong attention to detail in cold environments
- Willingness to work rotating shifts (including nights/weekends)
- No prior cold storage experience required
- Background check and drug screening required
