Responsibilities
- Load and Unload: Safely and efficiently load and unload freight onto and off of trucks using proper handling equipment.
- Inventory Management: accurately receive, store, and organize inventory within strict temperature-controlled environments.
- Temperature Monitoring: Regularly check and log temperature readings to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery safely.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for damage or spoilage and report discrepancies immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly in a cold environment.
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or cold storage is highly preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and safety protocols.
- Reliability: A proven track record of punctuality and dependability.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Forklift Certification: Valid forklift certification is a plus but not always required for entry-level roles.
