Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal cold storage temperatures (-10°F to 40°F) for perishable products
- Organize, rotate, and manage inventory according to FIFO principles
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks for safe loading/unloading of shipments
- Adhere to strict sanitation and safety protocols in refrigerated environments
- Document inventory movements and temperature logs using digital systems
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets
- Perform routine equipment maintenance checks and report issues
Qualifications
- Previous cold storage or warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to work in sub-freezing temperatures for extended periods
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one
- Basic math skills for inventory management
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset
- Availability to work flexible shifts including early mornings/weekends
