Responsibilities
- Load/unload refrigerated trucks and maintain accurate inventory records
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in temperature-controlled environments (32-40°F)
- Monitor storage conditions and report equipment malfunctions
- Follow HACCP and OSHA safety protocols for cold storage operations
- Perform quality checks on perishable goods before storage
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet daily shipping targets
- Maintain sanitation standards throughout facility zones
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance awareness
- Basic computer skills for inventory management systems
- Ability to work in sub-zero environments with proper PPE
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
