Responsibilities
- Operate pallet jacks and forklifts in refrigerated environments (-10°F to 40°F)
- Inspect and sort incoming/outgoing perishable goods with precision
- Maintain accurate inventory counts using RF scanners and WMS systems
- Adhere to HACCP and FDA cold chain compliance protocols
- Sanitize equipment and work areas daily per food safety standards
- Coordinate with shipping/receiving teams for efficient dock operations
- Monitor temperature logs and report equipment malfunctions immediately
- Train new hires on safety procedures and operational workflows
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year warehouse or cold storage experience required
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and work in sub-freezing temperatures
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with inventory software
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Strong attention to detail with zero-tolerance for safety violations
- Reliable transportation and flexible availability including weekends
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
