Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal temperature and humidity levels in -10°F to 40°F storage zones
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load/unload refrigerated trucks
- Conduct inventory audits using WMS systems with 99.8% accuracy
- Adhere to HACCP and OSHA safety protocols for cold environments
- Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration units
- Coordinate with quality control team on product rotation and FIFO procedures
- Document daily operational logs and temperature readings
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months cold storage or warehouse experience
- Valid OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Forklift certification (or ability to pass training within 30 days)
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems
- Physical stamina to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
