Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in sub-zero environments (-10°F to 30°F)
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
- Inspect and sanitize storage facilities daily to comply with HACCP standards
- Load/unload refrigerated trucks while maintaining temperature integrity
- Follow OSHA safety protocols for cold environments and heavy machinery
- Assist with quality control checks on incoming/outgoing perishables
- Participate in emergency response drills for refrigeration failures
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months warehouse or cold storage experience
- Valid OSHA forklift certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme cold
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems
- Reliable transportation and flexible availability (nights/weekends)
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
- Knowledge of food safety standards a plus
