Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperatures in refrigerated storage units using digital control systems
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to safely move and organize perishable inventory
- Conduct daily inspections of refrigeration equipment and report maintenance needs
- Implement strict hygiene protocols to prevent contamination in cold environments
- Assist with inventory management using warehouse management software
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and company cold storage procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in refrigerated warehouse or cold storage environment
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work in sub-freezing temperatures for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of inventory management systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 8+ hours
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends as needed
