Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in sub-zero temperatures (-10°F to 40°F)
- Maintain accurate inventory logs using digital tracking systems
- Sanitize and organize storage areas following HACCP protocols
- Monitor temperature controls and report equipment malfunctions
- Load/unload refrigerated trucks using proper stacking techniques
- Conduct quality checks on incoming/outgoing perishable goods
- Adhere to OSHA safety guidelines for cold environments
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months warehouse or cold storage experience
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly in extreme temperatures
- Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Valid Louisiana driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Food Handler's Certification preferred
