Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperatures (-10°F to 40°F) in refrigerated/freezer units using digital controls
- Safely load/unload pallets of food products using forklifts and pallet jacks
- Conduct daily inventory counts and document stock movements in warehouse management systems
- Adhere to strict HACCP and OSHA protocols for food safety and equipment operation
- Perform routine sanitation of storage areas and equipment to prevent cross-contamination
- Collaborate with team members to optimize loading/unloading efficiency during peak hours
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately to shift supervisor
Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods in cold environments
- Valid Texas driver's license and clean driving record (for equipment operation)
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems
- OSHA 10-hour General Industry certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Food Handler's Permit (or ability to obtain within first week)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety standards
- Ability to work in 0°F to 40°F environments for 8+ hour shifts
- Previous warehouse or cold storage experience preferred but not required
