Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal temperature (-10°F to 40°F) in cold storage areas using advanced climate control systems
- Load/unload refrigerated trucks and palletize goods according to HACCP standards
- Operate electric pallet jacks and forklifts safely in confined cold environments
- Conduct inventory audits using RFID scanning technology and digital tracking systems
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols for cold stress prevention and equipment operation
- Coordinate with remote logistics team via digital communication platforms for real-time updates
- Perform quality checks on perishable goods and report discrepancies to supervisors
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in cold storage or refrigerated warehouse environments
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Valid forklift certification with ability to pass pre-employment skills assessment
- Ability to work in temperatures below 32°F for extended periods (4+ hours)
- Basic proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., Oracle WMS, SAP)
- Physical capability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly with proper ergonomics
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications preferred
