Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal temperature conditions (-10°F to 40°F) in refrigerated/freezer units
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move palletized goods safely
- Conduct inventory counts using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
- Inspect and document equipment functionality (cooling units, doors, alarms)
- Adhere to HACCP, OSHA, and FDA safety protocols strictly
- Load/unload trucks using proper stacking and weight distribution techniques
- Report maintenance issues and safety hazards to supervisors immediately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for 8+ hours
- Valid driver’s license (required for equipment operation)
- Willingness to work in extreme cold environments (4°C/40°F or below)
- Basic math skills for inventory reconciliation
- Experience with RF scanners or inventory systems preferred
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
