Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain precise temperature/humidity levels in refrigerated/freezer zones using digital control systems
- Load/unload temperature-sensitive products (food, pharmaceuticals) using forklifts and pallet jacks
- Conduct regular inventory audits and update warehouse management systems in real-time
- Operate and sanitize cold storage equipment including evaporators, compressors, and blast freezers
- Enforce HACCP and OSHA safety protocols including proper PPE usage and spill containment
- Coordinate cross-functional team activities for efficient product flow and storage optimization
- Document temperature logs, equipment performance, and quality control metrics
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in cold storage, warehouse, or temperature-controlled environment
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures (0°F to -20°F) for extended periods
- Proficient in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle WMS)
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to complete immediately
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand/walk 8+ hours daily
- Valid driver's license and clean MVR for facility vehicle operation
