Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain cold storage temperatures using provided digital monitoring equipment
- Operate electric pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided) for inventory movement
- Inspect and document equipment functionality daily per safety standards
- Load/unload refrigerated trucks with proper cold-chain compliance
- Rotate inventory using FIFO methods to ensure product freshness
- Report equipment malfunctions and maintenance needs to supervisors
Qualifications
- Ability to work in temperatures below 32°F (0°C) with provided thermal gear
- Basic math skills for inventory documentation and temperature monitoring
- Commitment to safety protocols and equipment handling procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with provided mechanical assistance
- Reliable transportation to Newark, NJ facility
- Valid driver's license (for equipment operation training)
- No prior cold storage experience required – comprehensive training provided
