Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain refrigeration units and temperature-controlled environments within ±1°F accuracy
- Safely load/unload and organize perishable goods using company-provided cold storage equipment
- Conduct daily inventory audits and quality control checks for frozen/refrigerated products
- Adhere to HACCP protocols and OSHA safety standards in sub-zero conditions
- Monitor and document environmental conditions using digital monitoring systems
- Perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration systems and cold storage infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cold storage workflows
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in cold storage, warehouse, or temperature-controlled environment
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods (4-6 hour shifts)
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Proficient in inventory management systems (RF scanning experience preferred)
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and operate powered industrial equipment
- Basic knowledge of refrigeration cycles and temperature monitoring systems
- Valid driver's license with clean record (for equipment operation)
- Food Handler's Certification (ServSafe) required
