Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal cold storage temperatures (-10°F to 40°F) using digital monitoring systems
- Load/unload refrigerated trucks and organize inventory in FIFO rotation system
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely in compliance with OSHA standards
- Conduct quality checks on perishable goods and report irregularities immediately
- Maintain strict sanitation protocols and facility cleanliness
- Complete inventory audits using handheld scanning devices
- Adapt to schedule changes including nights, weekends, and peak season demands
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 6 months warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Ability to work in sub-freezing environments for extended periods
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Strong attention to detail and inventory management skills
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer literacy for inventory systems
