Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal temperatures (-10°F to 40°F) in refrigerated and frozen storage areas
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and refrigeration equipment safely
- Inspect and document inventory levels using warehouse management systems
- Ensure compliance with FDA and HACCP food safety standards
- Perform routine maintenance checks on refrigeration units
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for efficient logistics operations
- Train new hires on cold storage protocols and safety procedures
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of cold storage or warehouse experience
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Basic knowledge of refrigeration systems
