Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain precise temperature/humidity levels in refrigerated/freezer zones
- Operate pallet jacks and forklifts in temperature-controlled environments
- Conduct quality control checks on incoming/outgoing perishable inventory
- Adhere to HACCP and OSHA safety protocols for cold storage operations
- Manage inventory rotation (FIFO) and product placement in specialized storage areas
- Document temperature logs and equipment maintenance reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless logistics operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in cold storage or temperature-controlled environment
- Valid OSHA forklift certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and inventory management skills
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Basic knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP)
- Reliable transportation and flexible availability (weekends/nights)
