Responsibilities
- Safely load/unload temperature-controlled products using forklifts and pallet jacks
- Monitor and maintain optimal storage conditions (-10°F to 40°F environments)
- Operate inventory management systems for accurate stock tracking
- Adhere to HACCP and OSHA safety protocols in cold storage facilities
- Perform quality control checks on perishable goods
- Maintain sanitation standards for food safety compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for efficient warehouse operations
- Participate in ongoing skills development training programs
Qualifications
- No prior cold storage experience required
- Ability to work in cold environments (refrigerated/freezer conditions)
- Basic math skills for inventory and measurement tasks
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Reliable transportation to Sand Island Access Rd facility
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset
