Responsibilities
- Maintain optimal temperature and humidity levels in cold storage facilities (-10°F to 40°F)
- Operate refrigerated equipment and material handling machinery safely
- Inspect and inventory perishable goods following FIFO protocols
- Load/unload refrigerated trucks with proper handling techniques
- Adhere to OSHA and HACCP safety standards in all operations
- Complete quality control checks and documentation accurately
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless logistics operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic math skills for inventory management
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Reliable transportation to St. Petersburg facility
