As a Cold Storage Worker, you'll play a critical role in maintaining our high-quality food supply chain while working in temperature-controlled environments. We provide all necessary protective gear and climate-controlled break areas to ensure your comfort and safety.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move refrigerated products in -10°F to 40°F environments
- Perform quality checks on incoming/outgoing perishable goods
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
- Adhere to strict food safety and HACCP protocols
- Sanitize work areas and equipment following USDA standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflow efficiency
- Participate in monthly safety training and emergency drills
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Valid OSHA forklift certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for 8+ hours
- Basic math skills for inventory documentation
- Flexibility to work in refrigerated environments (32°F to -10°F)
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays as needed
