Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor cold storage temperatures (-10°F to 40°F) using digital control systems
- Load/unload refrigerated trucks with perishable goods using pallet jacks and forklifts
- Organize inventory rotation using FIFO methods to ensure product freshness
- Conduct daily sanitation and safety inspections of storage areas
- Operate temperature monitoring equipment and log environmental data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet daily shipment targets
- Adhere to HACCP and OSHA safety protocols in all operations
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly with proper lifting techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Availability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
