Responsibilities
- Maintain precise temperature monitoring and documentation in cold storage zones (-10°F to 40°F)
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and refrigeration equipment safely and efficiently
- Load/unload temperature-sensitive products while adhering to FIFO inventory methods
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Implement sanitation protocols to meet USDA and FDA standards
- Collaborate with quality control team on product rotation and stock rotation
- Participate in emergency response drills for temperature deviations or equipment failure
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Ability to work in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand/walk 8+ hours daily
- Basic knowledge of inventory management systems (RF scanning experience a plus)
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance mindset
- Reliable transportation and flexible availability (including weekends)
