Responsibilities
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and temperature-controlled storage systems in compliance with OSHA standards
- Inspect, sort, and organize perishable goods (produce, dairy, frozen foods) in refrigerated warehouses
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Adhere to strict food safety protocols (HACCP) and sanitation procedures
- Load/unload trucks efficiently while maintaining product integrity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet daily shipping/receiving targets
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards to supervisors immediately
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months warehouse or cold storage experience preferred
- Valid OSHA forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and work in 0-40°F environments
- Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Flexibility to work nights/weekends during peak seasons
