Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain optimal temperature/humidity levels in refrigerated storage units
- Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment safely
- Load/unload temperature-sensitive products following HACCP protocols
- Perform inventory counts and stock rotation using FIFO methods
- Adhere to strict safety procedures for cold environments (-10°F to 40°F)
- Sanitize equipment and storage areas according to food safety standards
- Document temperature logs and operational reports accurately
Qualifications
- Previous cold storage or warehouse experience preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to train)
- Ability to work in sub-freezing temperatures for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and inventory management skills
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Basic computer literacy for inventory systems
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
