Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, and move materials.
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and stock organization to ensure accurate warehouse records.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Material Preparation: Prepare products for shipping by properly packaging and labeling pallets according to customer specifications.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues to management immediately.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff to streamline workflow and meet daily production goals.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (CPL/CLP) is required.
- Experience: Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center setting is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
