Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse and to shipping docks.
- Inspect forklifts for safety issues and perform routine maintenance checks as required.
- Ensure accurate inventory counts and maintain organized stockrooms.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies to maintain a zero-accident workplace.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and shipping deadlines.
- Verify and record the quantity, weight, and condition of materials.
- Assist in the receiving and preparation of shipments for distribution.
Qualifications
- Experience: No prior forklift experience required; on-the-job training provided for qualified candidates.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts, including weekends and overtime.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- License: Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to obtain a forklift certification.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Background: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Attitude: Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious mindset.
