Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end shipping processes for containerized cargo via air, sea, and ground transport
- Manage documentation compliance (Bills of Lading, customs forms, CMRs)
- Optimize container loading/uncheduling to maximize space utilization
- Track shipments in real-time using TMS platforms and provide proactive client updates
- Resolve customs clearance issues and regulatory compliance challenges
- Collaborate with warehouse teams for efficient dock scheduling and resource allocation
- Analyze shipping data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years experience in shipping coordination or freight forwarding
- Proficiency in TMS systems (Descartes, WiseTech, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of INCOTERMS, FMC regulations, and customs protocols
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure with competing deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
- Forklift certification and hazmat handling experience a plus
