Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, load, and unload palletized goods efficiently
- Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols including aisle marking, weight limits, and stacking procedures
- Collaborate with receiving/shipping teams to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for operational excellence
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA-certified forklift operator license (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse/material handling environments
- Proficient in operating various forklift types (electric, propane, narrow aisle)
- Strong understanding of inventory control systems and documentation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
- Excellent communication skills and team-oriented mindset
- Pre-employment drug screening and background check required
