Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move, stack, and organize inventory efficiently
- Strictly adhere to OSHA safety protocols and company warehouse procedures
- Inspect and maintain forklift equipment daily, reporting maintenance needs promptly
- Collaborate with receiving/shipping teams to ensure accurate material flow
- Assist with inventory audits and cycle counts using warehouse management systems
- Load/unload trucks with precision and attention to product safety
- Train new operators on forklift safety and operational standards
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse forklift operation experience
- Proven ability to operate sit-down and reach trucks in fast-paced environments
- Strong understanding of weight distribution and load balancing principles
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic computer literacy for inventory systems
