As a Forklift Operator at Memphis Logistics, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain operations, ensuring that inventory is managed with precision and care.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner, strictly adhering to all OSHA safety regulations.
- Load, unload, and transport materials and products to designated storage areas or shipping docks.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure mechanical safety and proper functioning.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by counting stock and verifying quantities against manifests.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of orders and optimal warehouse organization.
- Follow proper lifting techniques and safety protocols to prevent workplace accidents.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (required).
- Previous experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts (1+ years preferred).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems.
