Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to move palletized goods in a 500,000 sq ft warehouse
- Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Maintain accurate inventory records using WMS systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflow efficiency
- Adhere to OSHA, DOT, and company safety protocols 100% of the time
- Train new operators on equipment operation and safety procedures
- Participate in monthly safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA forklift certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 2 years recent forklift operation experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk 8+ hours per shift
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy skills
- Valid driver's license with clean record
