Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move products and materials efficiently and safely.
- Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks and containers in a timely manner.
- Manage inventory by tracking and documenting the movement of goods.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production and warehouse goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a forklift operator is preferred.
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain one quickly).
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
