Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and powered industrial equipment to move materials within warehouse and yard areas
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and company operational guidelines
- Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate documentation of warehouse activities
- Inspect and report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately
- Collaborate with warehouse team to optimize loading/unloading processes
- Maintain clean and organized work areas to ensure operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 1 year experience operating sit-down forklifts in warehouse settings
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work in cold weather environments (Alaska climate)
