Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers to move materials within the warehouse and loading docks.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring cargo is secured and handled with care to prevent damage.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning barcodes and updating warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a hazard-free workplace.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of debris to promote safety and efficiency.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including packing and labeling orders.
Qualifications
- Valid and current forklift operator certification (CPLP or equivalent).
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating powered industrial trucks in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and order verification.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
