Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently.
- Inspect forklifts for mechanical issues before and after shifts to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Verify inventory counts during loading and unloading processes using scanners or logs.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for handling hazardous materials or heavy loads.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment and warehouse organization.
Qualifications
- Certified forklift operator (OSHA compliant) with a valid license or ability to obtain one.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Proven experience operating counterbalance forklifts and pallet jacks in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and hazard communication.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking systems.
