As a Forklift Operator at our New York facility, you will play a critical role in our supply chain operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of goods.
Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks in a safe, efficient, and damage-free manner.
- Loading & Unloading: Load and unload freight from trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure strapping.
- Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, counting, and organizing stock to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA regulations and company safety policies during all operations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections and report any maintenance issues to management immediately.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment (5S standards).
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (CFP/OSHA) is required.
- Experience: Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and work in various temperature conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and accuracy in inventory handling.
- Reliability: Must have a reliable means of transportation and be available for overtime when needed.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
