Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Equipment: Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and ensure all safety protocols are followed while operating heavy machinery.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and loading docks efficiently and accurately.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning products and organizing stock according to company standards.
- Warehouse Organization: Keep the workspace clean, organized, and free of hazards to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Equipment Maintenance: Report any mechanical issues with forklifts or warehouse equipment to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a valid forklift operator certification (CDL Class B is a plus but not required).
- Experience: Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and work in various weather conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and accuracy in inventory tracking.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends if necessary.
