Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Equipment: Manually move freight, stock, and materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
- Loading & Unloading: Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring cargo is secured and free of damage.
- Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, counting, and checking stock to ensure accuracy and proper placement.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety guidelines and warehouse protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
- Maintenance Checks: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Organization: Keep the warehouse floor organized, clean, and free of obstructions to prevent accidents.
Qualifications
- Certification: Forklift certification (Class 1-4) or ability to obtain certification through our training program.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when handling inventory and operating heavy machinery.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
