At Fresno Distribution Solutions, we pride ourselves on being the backbone of the supply chain. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our inventory is processed accurately and safely.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment to move, locate, or relocate materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload freight from trailers, trucks, and shipping containers efficiently.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all 5S safety standards and housekeeping protocols.
- Process inventory accurately using scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Collaborate with team leads and other warehouse staff to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old to operate heavy machinery.
- Ability to obtain a Forklift Certification (we offer paid training for the right candidates).
- Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for inventory scanning systems.
- Valid driver's license (not always required for internal forklift work, but preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
