Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely drive and operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery to move materials from dock to floor and floor to dock.
- Inventory Management: Accurately count, tag, and stock incoming and outgoing shipments to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Load & Unload: Efficiently load trucks, pallets, and containers while adhering to weight limits and safety regulations.
- Safety Compliance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on equipment and maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Packing & Labeling: Properly package and label products for shipment to ensure damage-free delivery.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team leads and other warehouse staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA 10/30 preferred).
- Experience: Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy when counting inventory and handling delicate goods.
- Driver's License: Valid state-issued driver's license (Class C).
- Communication: Ability to read and understand safety labels, diagrams, and written instructions.
