Responsibilities
- Operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently in a busy warehouse environment.
- Load, unload, and transport materials between storage areas and delivery vehicles.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Conduct daily pre-shift forklift inspections to ensure equipment safety and functionality.
- Ensure the warehouse floor is clean, organized, and free of safety hazards (OSHA compliance).
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production and shipping targets.
- Assist in the packaging and preparation of orders for shipment.
Qualifications
- Certified Forklift Operator (CFO) with valid OSHA training certificate.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional forklift operating experience in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50+ pounds repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Basic computer skills and ability to operate WMS software.
- Reliable transportation to and from the workplace.
