Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
As a Forklift Operator at Apex Logistics, you will be responsible for the efficient movement and storage of materials within our warehouse. You will ensure that our operations run smoothly while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts (reach trucks, clamp trucks) to load, unload, and move products.
- Conduct daily pre-shift equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Organize and stack inventory in designated storage areas to maximize space efficiency.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipping with extreme accuracy.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team leads and warehouse staff to coordinate workflow.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (CPLP or equivalent).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong understanding of inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, WMS) is a plus.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.
- High school diploma or GED required.
