Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to efficiently move palletized goods in high-volume warehouse environments
- Perform daily equipment inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- Maintain accurate inventory records using barcode scanning systems and digital tracking platforms
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and company material handling procedures
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to meet daily shipping/receiving targets
- Optimize loading/unloading processes to maximize dock space utilization
- Train junior staff on equipment operation and safety best practices
Qualifications
- Valid OSHA forklift certification with minimum 2 years recent experience
- Proficiency in operating multiple forklift types (electric, propane, narrow aisle)
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds repeatedly and work 8-10 hour shifts
- Basic math skills for inventory reconciliation and pallet calculations
- Experience with WMS systems (e.g., Oracle, Manhattan Active) preferred
- Strong problem-solving abilities in time-sensitive logistics scenarios
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance record
