Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials throughout the facility
- Perform daily forklift inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with warehouse team to maintain efficient inventory flow and organization
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and company operational standards
- Accurately document inventory movements and warehouse activities
- Assist in training new operators on equipment usage and safety procedures
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives for warehouse efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid forklift operator certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating sit-down forklifts in a warehouse setting
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and material handling best practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic computer literacy for inventory systems
