Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and move materials safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Inventory Management: Verify incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in stock counts and documentation.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company policies to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine pre-shift inspections on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Organization: Maintain a tidy and organized warehouse floor to facilitate efficient workflow and retrieval.
- Communication: Coordinate with team leads and other warehouse staff to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts (Reach Truck, Counterbalance, or Forklift) is preferred.
- Certification: Possession of a valid forklift operator certification (OSHA compliant) is required.
- License: Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperature conditions.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in inventory counting and documentation.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends if necessary.
