Job Summary
As a Forklift Operator at PDX Logistics Solutions, you will play a crucial role in the supply chain process. You will be responsible for moving materials, loading and unloading shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory records. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented and committed to safety.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse.
- Inspect forklifts daily to ensure they are in proper working condition and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Verify inventory accuracy by counting stock and logging quantities in the warehouse management system.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and housekeeping standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of orders and shipments.
- Assist in the preparation of pallets and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid and current Forklift Operator Certification (Class A, B, or C).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating heavy machinery in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and record-keeping.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
