As a Forklift Operator at Heartland, you will play a critical role in our daily operations, ensuring that our supply chain remains seamless and our clients receive their orders on time.
Responsibilities
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload freight from trucks and trailers, ensuring proper placement and securing of cargo.
- Inventory Management: Perform accurate cycle counts, stock inspections, and inventory adjustments to maintain accurate records.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to maintain a zero-accident workplace.
- Facility Maintenance: Keep the warehouse floor clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick and pack orders with speed and accuracy to meet daily production targets.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Must possess a valid and current Forklift Operator License (Class 3 or equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in inventory tracking and order picking.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Vehicle Operation: Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
