Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and powered industrial trucks (PIT) to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and loading docks.
- Perform daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in safe, working condition and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning pallets and updating the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
- Organize stock, pallets, and merchandise efficiently to maximize warehouse space and retrieval speed.
- Collaborate with the shipping and receiving team to ensure timely processing of orders.
- Keep the work area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid, current Forklift Operator Certification (OSHA compliant).
- Must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Ability to read and comprehend safety labels, operating manuals, and shipping orders.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is preferred.
