Responsibilities
- Safe Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in compliance with all OSHA safety regulations.
- Load/Unload: Efficiently load and unload freight trucks, ensuring cargo is secured and organized.
- Inventory Control: Perform inventory counts and manage stock placement accurately to maintain warehouse organization.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily pre-shift inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Cargo Handling: Ensure products are handled with care to prevent damage and maintain high quality standards.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all warehouse safety protocols and participate in regular safety training sessions.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid Class A or Class B Forklift Operator Certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening prior to employment.
- Driver's License: Valid state-issued driver's license.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
